Absent Voters

For those of you who aren't residing in Malaysia but would still like to become a registered voter, here's how you can do it!

1) Head over to the Malaysian High Commission, Embassy or consulate office in person.

2) Show them your MyKad, state your current address in your country of residence, occupation and the serial number from Form A.

3) Check your particulars and sign!

After which, you can check your status on http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/NEWDAFTARJ/

Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy...

  1. Unfortunately, if you are a Malaysian resident living abroad, not working for the Govt or a Govt sponsored student - you are not allowed to vote via postal voting. You have to return to Malaysia to do what essentially is your constitutional right.

I am a registered but have not been able to do much for the past 2 elections. Sad really.
